Born and raised in The Big City in Saldea (Maradon for those of you who haven't been paying attention), Darston lived with his father and aunt (his mother-- victim of Trolloc Raids) who built a small merchant empire through ice peppers (well, it *is* the borderland). Running away after a particularly fierce raid from the Blight he traveled the Southlands until he was 21 when he arrived in Tar Valon. Posing as a gleeman (which he was, really) he snuck into the Tower among the party bringing the Daughter-Heir of Andor. Getting himself into training to be a Warder was somewhat difficult (he *still* wont tell anyone how he did it), yet his skills with the sword (he won't tell anyone where he got them from) brought him quick rise in the ranks. Now graduated he waits only upon an Aes Sedai. Knowing he won't have a whole lot of choice in the matter he hopes for a Green and, sometimes, has nightmares about the White Ajah. Oh, yes, speculation by some of the elder Warders has brought up the possibility that his father might not be an ice pepper merchant after all...
