Raelin was once Captain of the Guard of Malkier, Defender of the Seven Towers, and Warder to a noble lady and Aes Sedai. But with the advance of the Blight and the destruction of Malkier he found himself one of few who survived the onslaght. He was charged with al'Lan Mandoragoran, Last King of Malkier. Only his brother and a few soldiers survived the flight from Borderlands. Now he has returned to the White Tower and seeks an Aes Sedai to serve.
