Cranas was the best monk the Iron Tower has had in years. (Ellonond is the land Beyond the Iron Tower that Perrin saw in his dreams) He is a master of all Martial arts, a master Linguist, and the Leader of the Hands of Fire. The Hands of Fire is an organization of non-humans that watch the progress of Aes Sedai, the Immortals, the Forsaken and now Asha'man, they are spread across all lands watching all the workings of the One Power. Cranas was originally asigned to watching Immortals, but after killing a minor Immortal, (Sir Aegeas), over Lady K and a bracelet, Cranas was thrown from the Iron Tower in name. But in reality he was sent to the Human's White Tower to watch for the Dragon Reborn and then his Asha'man. When he arrived at the White Tower, Amrlyn Siuan had just been stilled. He followed the escaping Min, staying far enough behind to stay out of their way. When they made it to the Little Tower, (he was on a seperate boat) he joined the tower claiming to be the Warder of a dead Aes Sedai and that it had been years since he had been to the tower. When the Last Battle comes he will proclaim himself and lead the Hands of Fire into battle for the Dragon, but until then he will bide his time, never telling that he is not quite human, learning the weaknesses of the Forsaken, the Dragon, and the Aes Sedai. Just in case he has to stop any of them.
Cranas is 5'11, has Red Hair and Brown Eyes. He always wears a Steel Mask over his face hiding his features. He also wears a long white tunic, leather breeches and turned down Dragonskin Boots. He wields a Quarterstaff only, becuase edged weapons (, liquor, gambling and armor, and camoflague a.k.a. a Warders Cloak) are against his oath. The last distinguishing items he wears is a Bronze braclet engraved with a lady's name opposite a sheepskin bracer dyed with blood. These mark his killing of Sir Aegeas and his love for Lady K. They can never come off, having been placed by the Hands of Fire.
