Kaldin was born in Saldea, and learned to kill Trollocs at a surprisingly young age. When his parents took him on a business trip to Andor, he met Miera. He instantly fell in love with her. When he found out she was going to Tar Valon to become an Aes Sedai, he insisted on becoming her warder. After she became Aes Sedai, not only did he become her warder, they also got married.
